The assignment was to drape a blanket over something and draw the blanket with shadows and highlights. I drew a blanket... but I didn't actually look at one. :)

Hand And Pot Study

I first sketched a pot that I was looking at and then drew my hand circumscribed about the pot. Our objective was to make it encompass the whole pot.

Stuffed Animal Still Life

This is a stuffed animal puppy drawn on a pillow in front of a lamp. I think the light from the lamp helped to pull out interesting shades and textures in the puppy.

Theory

This is an illustration of a theory of music. Music notes correlate to math, and many researchers believe that music and math go hand in hand. Music is like math you can hear.

Bike In Progress

So this is a portion of a bike done with one line contour and then painted over. It's not quite finished yet. The interesting thing is that the bike was suspended upside down from the ceiling when I drew it!!! How's that for random?
