It seemed to Carl that everyone had their own opinions. and no one cared about his. Which does happen, sometimes.

Pretend

Whenever Joey and Sarah would play pretend marriage, Joey always had to pretend harder than Sarah.

Wise

The wise owl sat on his branch, whispering a soft "Whooo" into the darkness.


Which brings up the question: if owls are so wise, why do they always ask "who"? Shouldn't they know?
